An up-and-coming chef and a recently divorced woman find their lives forever changed when a chance encounter brings them together, in a deeply moving romance that lasts a decade. When Florence Pugh was unable to attend the film’s premiere due to other filming commitments, Andrew Garfield brought along a life-size cutout of her to fill her absence. During the living room scene with the candles and fire, Almut closes Tobias’s notebook, but in the next shot it’s open.

And indeed, We Live in Time is a pure and beautiful film. Its first virtue is the kick to the spectator to discover his past moments and future perspectives. I don’t ignore the romance or the problems of common life or the dagger of near death.
So, see it!
But it is a deeply subjective masterpiece for the fine portrait of eras. For the message, for the honest definition of unique moments of life. And for the fantastic interpretation of Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield.
